Ah Keong Yong Tau Fu at Damansara Uptown (Tofu & Vegetable with fish paste, Teluk Intan Chee Cheong Fun)

The YTF with Sesame seed..................................Ah Keong and Wife Some of the spread...................................My business partner, Shirleen busy picking the YTF

The food court at night. Some lights are not working My business partner, Shirleen has been eating at Ah Keong’s stall since 1992. She took me there last week and now I am a fan of his yong tau fu. The yong tau fu here is fresh. Ah Keong only uses fish, no meat. So, it is not surprising to see continuous stream of Muslims queuing up to order food from this stall. I ordered the Teluk Intan Chee Cheong Fun, fried bean curd, brinjal, lady fingers and fish lobak. The Teluk Intan CCF has a very nice texture and the filling is made of turnips and dried shrimps. The fish lobak taste real good, I thought it was made from meat. The price range for different varieties of yong tau foo is RM0.60, RM0.70, Rm0.80, RM0.90 and RM1.00. Ah Keong is a chatty guy and he is very generous with the yong tau fu gravy. I have to stop him from giving me too much gravy. The gravy is very good! 10. Ahhh.. Uptown... I need to ask one thing... the stalls there last time were all fr DU roadside stalls.. I remember there is one malay food sup ekor very the geng one.. now I cant seem to find it there.

On another note.. err.. I will try this Ah Keong someday.. not a great fan of yong tau fu.. but I normally go there for the fish head curry...
