Although this is a very simple and easy recipe, I found that many kids like it. If your kids don’t like to take fresh tomato, you can blend some tomatoes and add it to the tomato sauce which is the main ingredient in this recipe. For the old or maybe young guys out there, eating tomatoes is good for your prostate;.......to ensure good bladder control when you are old and also to avoid prostate cancer which is very common nowadays! Anyway, you can use all kind of ‘balls’ for this recipe; fish balls, saito fish balls, sotong (squid) balls, prawn balls or chicken balls.....! LOL!
Ingredients
Fish Balls, 10pcs, you can cut into half or onto kids bite size
Cauliflower, about the size of a small rice bowl, cut into bite size (optional)
Tomato sauce, 7 tablespoons '
Tomato, 2 pcs, blended (optional)
Soya sauce, 1 table spoon
Sugar, to taste
Salt, to taste
Bay Leaf (optional), 1 pc
Onions, 1 pc, cut into four
Heat up wok and add some vegetable oil. Sauté onions until it caramelize a little. Add in some water, tomato sauce, fresh tomato paste, soya sauce, sugar, salt, cauliflower and bay leaf. Bring to a boil and put in the fish balls. The sauce should be thick and smooth. If not you can add some more tomato sauce or just us a little corn flour with water to thicken it. Garnish with springs onions and serve with steamed rice.
