Leng Kak Piah (Bra Biscuits) aka Biskut Telinga

In Hokkien dialect, these biscuit are known as ‘Leng Kak Piah’ which literally means Bra Biscuits. Most people would call them biscuit telinga, which means Ear Biscuits in Malay Language. The base ingredients for making these biscuits are wheat flour, sugar, salt, vegetable oil, eggs and spices. Biscuit telinga has a little hard crunchy texture. These aromatic and savoury biscuit are manufactured locally. It has been some time ago since I last ate Leng Kak Piah, so I bought a packet from the Pasar Malam (night market) recently. They are sold at RM5 for three packets. It is nice to chew on this snack while watching TV. So do you think the biscuit looks like Bra or Ear or Avatar Navi tribe ear maybe? Ha ha ha!

  5. In Sarawak, there was no name for this, I like it when I was little. But too many years away, I found I can't stand the spice. So I haven't eeaten it for a long time.

If I remember rightly, the Sarawak ones had a line of brown spice. May be they use more spice there.
