Yin Yong (Braised Flat Noodles with Rice Vermicelli) – Makeshift Chi Chow Stall at Jalan Burung Jentayu, Taman Bukit Maluri, Kepong.

I ‘tar pau’ (take away) a packet of Yin Yong (Braised Flat Noodles with Rice Vermicelli) from a small stall not far away from Tuck Kee Dim Sum makeshift restaurant. It cost me RM5 for one serving portion. Although this ‘Chi Chow’ stall is very small, it is very clean and tidy. All the spoons and chop sticks on the table are covered to prevent dust and dirt from settling on them. The meat, prawns and other fresh ingredients are kept in the fridge and only taken out when needed. They serve a variety of noodles like Ee Mee, Kueh Teow, Tai Lok Mee, Hokkien Char, Wat Tan Hor and Yin Yong. Apart from that, they also have dishes like curry fish, vegetables and rice. The thick starchy gravy that covered the flat noodles & rice vermicelli (kueh teow plus bihun) in the yin yong is very tasty. This is one of the good ones that I have come across in KL. Although I still prefer Penang Tuapan but I guess this yin yong can satisfy my cravings for a while! LOL!
