Chow Kee Restaurant, Manjalara
Chow Kee Restaurant started business more than a year ago but I haven’t tried their food until recently. It is a bit further inside from the other group of restaurants around this area, so you can expect it not to be so crowded. I was there with my kids for breakfast and we ordered curry mee, kueh teow soup and jawa mee.
The curry mee is of the creamy KL type and a cross of Penang type, taste ok. The kueh teow soup in nice and the taste surely beats many other kueh teow soups in KL. It is served with generous amount of vegetables.
The Jawa Mee also has a generous amount of toppings like keropok, vegetable, cucumber strips, fried tau kwa (tofu), shallots and ground peanuts. Overall taste is ok; maybe a little extra salt would improve the taste a bit.
Good place for to have breakfast, very friendly restaurant owner, customers and stall operators. Everyone there seems to know each other very well. I will be back here to try the Chee Yoke Fun; recommended by the owner.
