Tong Sui At Cottage Fresh Cafe, NuiXeZui Commercial Centre, PJ

I had some tong sui in Cottage Fresh Cafe recently. This restaurant is located in the NuiXeZui Commercial Centre. It has a nice interior setting and I feel very cozy here. I ordered tau fu fah (soft bean curd, RM2.50), bubur cha cha (sweet potatoes with coconut milk, RM3.60) and chye kuih (they call it vegebox here, RM3.90 for 4 pcs). The tau fu fah is smooth and nice. If you love creamy stuff, you are sure to like the bubur cha cha from this restaurant. The bubur cha cha has 3 types of sweet potatoes (yellow, violet and red) and also banana in it. The sweetness is just nice for me. The vegebox (chye kuih) is not bad but the chili is a let down. Overall it is nice to dine in such an ambient surrounding. There are also some kiddie’s tables there to keep your kids occupied so that you can enjoy your meal peacefully.
Nice exterior and interior design

  11. Eunice : I am more familiar with the tong sui stalls in PJ area. KL not very sure, will check it out.

Cleff : Have not tried to make Chye Kueh yet. I will need to check out the recipe, some of the flour they use for chye kueh, not sure how to say in Cantonese. LOL

Josephine : Ha, u r tau fu fah fan. I also love to eat it with brown sugar.

Chris : Quite a number of restaurants but many shops have closed down. Wonder how long these restaurants will be in busines. NZX just don't have the crowd.

Indrani : Anyone selling this type of food in your hometown? Tau foo fah is my favourite.

kikey : Nice food for tea. Yummy
