Some Old Drawings from Pete Da Vinci -ROFL!
I was not born with natural talent in art but I love to draw. It took me a while and some practice before I could come out with a decent drawing. I found some of these old drawings from my school days. I found that it was very challenging to draw portraits so I tried it out using dark 2B pencils. Art is really a funny and mind boggling hobby. Sometimes I could sit for hours and could not produce a single decent piece but sometimes I could do it within minutes. I guess this is what they called inspiration. Therefore you might find famous artist like Leonardo Da Vinci, an Italian born in 1452 to have funny characters. Leonardo was not only an artist but was also an inventor, an architect, a musician, a sculptor, a scientist and a mathematician. His most famous paintings were of course the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.
Part of the papers have been destroyed and eaten by silverfish, so I better get them digitized before it is too late. Can you guess who they are ?
I have forgotten who she was already,
This is one of the famous Hong Kong actress. Can guess who she is?
Can't remember, who is this already. LOL!
Can't remember who is this either. Maybe is my classmate. LOL!
As far as I know..u have some talent in art, otherwise none of those beautfiful ladies would come out so nice.. as for me, I am a confirmed "art-less" person! lol....
ReplyDeleteinspiration is the key ya!! first picture looks like maggie cheung =p
ReplyDeleteI would say you were born with some natural talent, these are such good drawings, seriously. Sorry I'm not familiar with too many Hong Kong actresses.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Maggie Cheung to me :)
ReplyDeletePete, I like the first one the most. Not bad. I can't draw like that. I took art lessons when I was a child. But never made anything out of it. Not even as a hobby. Da Vinci is a master of all trades.
ReplyDeleteClaire : Maybe very little cause sometime my drawings real teruk. He he he!
ReplyDeleteFufu : Its' Maggie Cheung, alright bro!
Christine : I am no where near my siblings, there are all good in art. Thks Christine, for the compliment.
Pei Pei : Ya, it is Maggie. Luckily it turns out like her, he he he! LOL!
Mei Teng : I really admire Da Vinci. He is very good with his imagination.
Seriously... what do you not know how to do?
ReplyDeleteYou cook, you know about plants, you can draw... what else o_o?
Good drawing by the way...
Now I know two things about pete - good at art and young2 already very hiau!!! Spent so much time drawing pictures of girls! ROTFLMAO!!!
ReplyDeleteladyviral : Ha ha, know only little of these and that lar!
ReplyDeleteSTP : Aiyo, Cikgu, if draw pretty girls then hiau, if draw men....then people say gay, how leh? ha ha ha, LMAO!
FUIYOOOOO. Pete, you really can draw wan lehhh! i cannot draw to even save my life. LOL... I can only write and bluff my way out of trouble.
ReplyDeleteHi Cleff, I wish I could write as good as you. I have always wanted to write a book.
ReplyDeleteHi Pete La Itchy - what are the things that you can't do would be easier to name 'em. You can cook, dance, sing, and now you can even draw Maggie Lisa? Learned from a lateral thinking class that if we can't draw well better to turn the picture upside down. Why? Becoz of our conditioned mind that the hands, legs, nose or eyes must be in proportion bla bla and we are always in conflict. But if we draw the pix terbalik (upside down) we just draw without 'questioning' ourselves. Try it out!
ReplyDeletewow.. you drawing is so nice!!
ReplyDeleteu drew well..i can draw but can't paint well..
ReplyDeleteBro Hosan : Ha ha, La Itchy, my reputation habis lah! Interesting theory, to draw pictures upside down. Gotta try it! Hands getting itchy!....ROFL
ReplyDeleteHi Kikey, Thks.
Wenn: I also can't paint well. Sometimes turn out very teruk! he he he!
ReplyDeletecan't remember or just pretend oh..kekeke
ReplyDeletesmallkucing : Drew them more than 20 years ago leh, If remember, afterward kena hentam from wifey.....he he he, just joking lar, LOL!
ReplyDeleteWow! You do have talent in drawing! Some of the faces look familiar. Either I don't really know who they are, or you are not drawing the faces accurately. Haha!
ReplyDeleteI was never good in drawing potrait, but i'm quite good in drawing things with shape, eg. building. Nice art work by the way. ;)
ReplyDeleteFoongpc : Aiyo, already more than 20 years I drew this liao, the girls now should be very old already, maybe that's why you will not be able to recognise them, ha ha ha!
ReplyDeleteTching : I guess art covers quite a big aspect and techniques. It will some time and practice to master them!
for some reason my comment wen to the other post for this one.
