Quickie Angel Hair Spaghetti Jawa Mee for Supper -Recipe

I love a quickie......not that ‘kind’ of quickies hah! (I can hear Cleffairy laughing away). Normally I have limited time to cook supper. If it takes too long, my kids would be sleeping by the time I finished cooking. I would always try to come up with quickie meals without sacrificing the taste. Therefore, this is how I ended up with this Quickie Angel Hair Spaghetti Jawa Mee.

Ingredients \
Angel Hair Spaghetti, boiled in until soften (one serving)
Tomato Sauce, 5 table spoons
Shallots, 2, cut into slices, fried until golden brown for garnishing
Prawns, 2 medium size, with shell Fu chuk (Fried bean curd), 2 pcs for garnishing
Lettuce, 2 leaves, cut into small strips for garnishing
Salt and sugar to taste
Lime, 1 pc, optional

To make the jawa mee (noodles) gravy, boil around 2 rice bowls of water and add in the prawns. Add tomato sauce, salt and sugar to taste. Thicken the gravy with a little corn flour mixed with water. Put the cooked angel hair spaghetti in a serving plate. Add the jawa mee gravy and garnish with fu chuk, lettuce and fried shallots. Squeeze some lime juice on top before serving. Aiya, I am hungry again after writing this post!

  3. Wah! Going fusion now eh? Those pastas can be quite expensive - would rather use dried egg noodles.
