Peteformation Quickie Hokkien Mee (Prawn Noodle, Har Mee) for Supper – Recipe

Not long after I cooked Quickie Curry Mee as a supper meal for my daughter, she threw me another challenge! She wants to eat Hokkien Mee for supper after finishing her homework. I made a quick check on all the ingredients I have in my fridge and told her that her Hokkien Mee (Prawn noodle, Xia Mien) would be ready in 20 minutes. Here is how I managed to cook Penang Har Mee for her within 20 minutes. 1) Cut shallots, fish cake, soak bihun(rice vermicelli) and make hard boil eggs using rice cooker. 2) Heat up pot and put in oil. Add in small prawns with shell, chilly powder, chicken meat and shallots. Fry until shallots turn golden brown. 3) Add water to pot and let it boil for a short while. Add salt, sugar and a little dark soya sauce. 4) Put fish cake in the Hokkien mee soup. Then add in the bihun. Bring to a boil and turn of the heat. 5) Take hard boiled eggs out from rice cooker. Remove shells and put on top of the har mee (Hokkien Mee). Ting, ting, ting......’SUPPER IS READY!’ Hokkien Mee, Hokkien Mee!
