These are the most delicious Bubur Gandum (sweet wheat porridge) and bubur kacang (sweet green mung beans porridge) that I ever tasted.
My sister bought two packets of the porridge for me on my recent trip back North.
This mobile stall has been operating outside the Federal Hotel (no relation to the KL Federal Hotel) restaurant which behind the Butterworth Cathay cinema for ages. I have not seen the old Indian owner around for quite some time. Very likely he employs this lady to take of the stall for him. However, the bubur gandum (RM1.50) and bubur kacang (sweet mung beans porridge, RM1.50) are still as tasty as ever. The porridge is very creamy, thick and has nice aroma. It has a very well balanced taste of sweetness and a little saltiness in it. It sure tastes very much different and unique from the ones you find elsewhere. Another thing I like about this stall is that the pots and metal bowls are very clean. After eating one bowl of the bubur gandum, you are sure to go for second helping. Damm tasty! LOL!Highly recommended! Be sure to try out the bubur gandum from this stall if you visit Butterworth.
