Victim of Cheque Fraud
I sent out a cheque to pay my credit card early this month via Pos Malaysia using the credit self addressed envelope provided by the credit card company.
Last week, when I called the credit card company to check whether they have received my cheque, they confirmed that it did not arrive. Immediately, I called the bank to check the status of my cheque. The bank branch that issued my cheque book only knew that the cheque payment was rejected. I was told by the officer after she checked with the security department that someone else tried to cash out my cheque. Somehow this syndicate managed to intercept my cheque in the post and modified all the information in my cheque, to make it payable to another person’s name.
I took a scanned copy of the cheque and found that all the handwriting on it was not mine. The payee name has been changed from the credit card company to an individual name. They used the same payment amount as in my credit card bill.
It seems that this syndicate is very active and they have managed to get away with some of the victim’s money. Last Thursday someone wrote to a local newspaper about his cheque that was sent out to pay his insurance premium was fraudulently cashed out by someone else.
In order to avoid these problem, make sure you send your cheque using a normal envelope or bank it in directly in to the payee account.
It took me half a day get this problem sorted out; go the bank, make police report, and make new payment to my credit card company.

Hock Tong Hong Rawang Chicken Rice
Rawang is a small town located at the north of Kuala Lumpur and it is a favorite haven for food lovers. It is normal to see many people from Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas travel there during the weekends for their famous tilapia dishes and also winter melon soup.
If you use the trunk road to travel to the northern states, do drop by in Hock Tong Hong Chicken rice which is located two rows at the back of Bintang Rawang Hypermarket. The chicken rice dish served by a husband and wife team is simple but nice. The chicken was well marinated and the rice was moist, just nice to my liking. I love the chicken rice chili, real spicy and nice. My business partner, Shirleen asked for extra chilies. A plate of chicken rice cost RM3.50.
This stall also serves some other simple chap fan dishes and most of the chicken/roast pork/char siew will be sold out by 2pm.
Will be back again to try the roast pork!

Opps, sorry, I started to eat again and forgot to take photo first!

Two Round Ladoo (laddu, moti choor) From My Neighbor
My neighbor’s son scored 9 As for his SPM and to celebrate the occasion they made some nice Indian (and also Pakistan) dessert, ladoo ( laddu, moti choor) to share with everyone in our neighborhood.
These round balls are made from sugar, ghee (clarified butter), whole milk, saffron, cardamom powder, gram flour (besan) and chickpea. They are then soaked in sweet syrup. Ladoos (moti choor) are often made for religious ceremony and as offering to gods at temple.
Well congratulations to him for scoring straight As in his exam!

Chong Hwa Chinese Independent High School Kuala Lumpur 1919 - 2009
Chong Hwa Chinese Independent High School, Jalan St. Thomas, Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur is one of the top secondary school in the country and it is very well known among all the educationist community in South East Asia.
This year the school celebrates its’ 90 years anniversary. A ceremony was held on 17th Jan 2009 to welcome all the new form one students and it was attended by many VIPs that contributed to the development of this great school.
Food stalls and other stalls selling various things were set up by the students to raise fund for the school. Although this is a private school, they still need extra funds and contribution from the public as the cost of managing and maintaining the school is rather high.
Apart from that some of the students also performed stage shows in the main hall and money are collected from the sales of tickets at the entrance.
Here are some of the random pictures I took at this event.

Funny Thai Facial Foam Commercial, Smooth - E, The Love Story
I have initially thought of putting this cute and funny Thai Commercial in my funny video blog Funny Crazy Happy Video, but I guess I better share it here in Peteformation blog where most of my readers usually visit.
This commercial about beauty facial foam, Smooth E is very entertaining and it is worth to watch the full video! The actors and actresses are good! Wanna find your soul mate using this method? Is it hotter than Fann Wong and Christopher Lee, The Wedding of the Year love story? Ha Ha!
Enjoy Smooth E, The Love Story.

F4 Subang Jaya Fish Head Restaurant
“A fish head restaurant in the middle of a light industrial estate? “, I asked my brother in law when he told me about this place. F4 (nothing to do with the famous singing group, F4) Fish Head Restaurant is located near Giant Hypermarket in Subang Jaya. The lot that this restaurant occupies is rather large and it can accommodate at least 60 to 70 tables.
The dishes that we had in this restaurant are Fish Head Nyonya Style, Butter Prawn, Steam Eggs, Stir Fried Sweet Potato Leaves, Pork Belly with Salted Fish and Deep Fried Squid.
The type of fish head that is popular here is freshwater carp. Although the carp is full of ‘Y’ shaped bones, the flesh has fine texture. The Nyonya Style sauce is tasty with right combination of sour and sweet taste. The aromatic and spicy sauce of this dish really increases my appetite, so I asked for ‘kar faan’ (add more rice). LOL
The Butter Prawn is good too, served with generous amount of crispy butter fried egg white. Large white skin type sea prawns are used in this dish. My kids love the crispy buttered egg white, while I got to eat all the prawns, he he he!
Century eggs are added into the steamed eggs dish. It has smooth texture, just like the Japanese Chawan Mushi. The century eggs gave it an extra kick!
The stir fried sweet potato leaves dish is normal but the leaves are fresh, young and crunchy.
The Pork Belly and Salted Fish (Ham Yee Fah Lam Poh) is full of taste. This is my son favourite dish. The dried chilly and salted fish combination gave this dish a unique flavour, yummy!
The squid they used for deep frying with flour was rather large but the meat was surprisingly tender. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, this dish goes well with the Thai Style chilly sauce. Thumbs up for the Fried Squid with Flour.
All together the total bill plus drinks for 5 adults, 2 children and 2 toddlers came up to RM104. F4 Fish Head Restaurant is a reasonable place to have a family meal.
