An Injured Common House Sparrow (Passer domesticus)

My wife and I found this Common House Sparrow ( Scientific name, Passer Domesticus) at a parking lot. I guessed it was injured and could not fly away. One of its' eyes was shut and it was breathing heavily. We were afraid that it might be ran over by moving cars. My wife picked it up using some newspapers while I ran to a nearby mini market to ask for a box. Then we put the bird in the box and took it home. We tried to feed it with bird seed and water but it could not take any food. It was still alive the next morning but didn't make it till the evening. RIP little bird!

Eeeeee....don;t talk to me about birds! There was an injured pigeon in my garden the other day. It could not fly...only walk and it would go under my cars. I would find the shit all over...

Then I saw it in the drain so I thought I could drive it out and it would not be able to fly back in as it could not fly. I chased it, it went into the hole (drain outlet to let the water flow into the drain outside the house)...and it never came out the other side!!!! I dunno where it had disappeared to!

God forgive me! Sobssss!!!!

Great compassion! Both of you did the best for the injured bird. Time for the bird to go. I have one incident one bird flew to me out of nowhere while in a temple. Probably the ceiling fan could have hit it. Afraid it would be killed by cats hold it in my hands and it is so calm. After half have to let it go and it took off without any problem.
