Pizza Galore -Going Ga Ga over Pizza!

My kids and I have had lots of fun making pizza together. Actually the dough is rather easy to make. All you need is time for the yeast to work and make the dough rise. I would normally knead the dough around 6 pm and let it rise for around 3 hours. After dinner I would prepare all the toppings and it just takes me 20 minutes to bake one pizza in the oven. I am still experimenting with various ingredients to perfect my skills in making pizza. Hopefully, one day you will see Papa Peteformation Pizza franchise outlets all over the places......ha ha ha, dreams, dreams.......LOL! I have made many types of pizza ever since I started blogging one and a half year ago. Recently, I started making cheesy crust pizza, just for a change. These are some of the pizza that I managed to take photo of. Mickey Mouse Pizza

Mickey mouse pizza before and after baking in oven
Regular pizza befor and after baking in oven
Remember the Disney show with the song M.I.C.K.E.Y M.O.U.S.E...........? I used to watch this show every week when I was a kid. I guess all the kids in this old show must be in late thirties or forties by now! I decided to sidetrack a little bit when I was making a regular pizza my kids to eat. I reserved a little extra dough and shaped them into Mickey face. It will not turn out nice if I fill up the whole face with pizza filling so I rub some butter over it so that it will still taste good. I used green beans as to for the eyes, smoked sausage for the nose & mouth and sprinkled some oregano to add some earthiness flavour to the pizza. These are alien Mickey mouse with green eyes....ha ha ha! Somehow, my little toddler seems to like the Mickey Mouse shape pizza much more than regular pizza. He and his elder sister ate all of them! Their cute reaction when they first saw these pizzas hot out from the oven will remain as a sweet memory forever! What is your favourite Disney character?

Papa Peteformation Cheesy Crust Pizza Recipe – Early Morning Supper!

My cheesy crust pizza before and after baking. I made this pizza on the morning I supposed to send my niece off to Hong Kong to further her studies. My nephew came over to stay at my house because he wanted to see MJ tour show in Astro that night an also surf the net together with my son. By the time the show ended, it was passed midnight and we were supposed to wake up at three am to go to the airport. I baked this pizza while my nephew and my son were watching MJ Tour. Since I had a pack of cream cheese in my fridge I decided to make a cheesy crust pizza for a change. By the time I finished baking the pizza, the whole house was full of nice pizza aroma. My neighbour told me the next morning that he thought he was dreaming of pizza...... ha ha ha!

Pizza Dough Ingredients
350 gms of flour½ teaspoon of dried yeast mixed with warm water and 1 teaspoon of sugar½ teaspoon of salt (or to taste)
Cream cheese or mozzarella cheese, ½ cup

Toppings
Onions, 1 large pc, cut small pieces
Capsicum, 1 pc, cut into cubes
Mozzarella cheese, ½ cup
Frozen mixed vegetable (carrot, green bean, corn), ½ cup
Tomato sauce, 3 table spoons
Dried Oregano, 1 teaspoon
Smoked sausage, 3 pcs, cut into cubes

Mix all the dough ingredients together (except the cheese) and cover with a clean towel for around 45 minutes. Shape the dough until it is large enough to cover over to the side of your baking tray (make sure you oil your baking tray first). Put the cream or mozzarella cheese at the edge of the dough. Fold the dough to cover the cheese. Spread the tomato sauce over the pizza and put all the topping on top of it. Bake in preheated oven for around 25 minutes at 180 Deg C.

Pizza for 50 Students – Teacher's Day

A few months ago, my son’s school celebrated Teacher’s day and he asked me to cook for their class party. Actually it was a potluck party and I thought is would be rather easy if I make pizza for the class. I have cooked pizza quite often for my family and are now rather familiar with this recipe. First I have to estimate how much dough I need and the amount of garnishing required. I used smoked sausages, onions, garlic, carrot, green beans and corn for the pizza topping. Anyway, I think I have made quite an accurate estimation and the pizza turned out well. Overall, it took me one and a half hour to prepare everything! As I was rushing to prepare the pizza, I did not record down how much ingredients I used.....so this time around, I shall not publish this recipe. 1) http://veganformation.blogspot.com/2009/06/spicy-thin-crust-vegetarian-tom-yam.html 2) http://peteformation.blogspot.com/2009/05/super-longhey-what-is-that-pizza-recipe.html

Super Long........hey! What is that? & Pizza Recipe

My son got a shocked when he opened the food cover to have his breakfast. I have cooked a long Australian Beef sausage (nearly 4 feet in length, RM13.00) that I bought from Giant Kota Damansara the day before. Well, don’t let the looks deceive you. The sausage is very succulent, meaty and tasty. It was well marinated with spices. Anyway I have to coax him to eat it and after trying out a few pieces he liked the taste. Since the portion is quite big and my wife does not take beef, I used the leftover to make this delicious pizza. Here is the pizza recipe.

Pizza Dough Ingredients
250 gms of flour
½ teaspoon of dried yeast mixed with warm water and 1 teaspoon of sugar
Salt to taste

Toppings
Sausage, cut into thin slices
Pineapple, cut into small pieces
Onions, cut into slices
Cheese, amount to taste
Tomato Sauce
Frozen Vegetable mix, corn, carrot and green peas
Oregano, ½ table spoon

Pour the dried yeast water mixture on the flour and add salt. Knead the dough and let it rest for around 1 hour. Take the dough and roll it into the shape a ball. Use a rolling pin to flatten this dough to fit the shape of your baking plate. Apply a layer of tomato sauce on the dough. Arrange all the toppings on the pizza and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes at 180Deg C. If the pizza is too dry after baking, just add more tomato sauce or barbecue sauce before serving.

Simple Recipe (NV) – Quick Pizza from Leftover Roti(bread) Arab

1) A pack of Roti Arab..............................................2) Roti Arab Tada! Ready in a jiffy. I used frozen fish chips for this one. Did not manage to take photos of the tuna fish pizza because my kids finished all of it right after I took it out from the oven.
I bought some Roti Arab from the Kepala Batas Mee Rebus Restaurant when I was there the other day. The bread is soft and fluffy. It tastes good if eaten with curry. I tried to make pizza from the left over bread and it turned out great. I tried 3 types of main filling and my kids voted the tuna fish as the best. Here is what I did….
1) Spread some tomato sauce on the roti Arab.
2) Then top it with a) Canned Tuna Fish or b) Scrambled Eggs or c) Frozen Fish Chips(cut into thin strips) 3) Put mozzarella cheese on top of the main filling. (I used cheddar cheese as I did not have mozzarella in my fridge)
4) Heat up oven to 150 Deg C and bake for 20 minutes. You can use normal white bread as the base but remember to add butter or some vegetable oil because white bread is dry and not oily.
