You Are the Apple of My Eye (那些年，我们一起追的女孩 - 那些年, Na xie nian wo men yi qi zhui de nv hai - Na xie nian) is a  popular Taiwanese movie about romance between a mischievous high school boy,  Ko Chen-tung (Ko Ching-teng) and a girl, Shen Chia-yi (Michelle Chen). My kids love the show very much but I just watched part of it only and missed the ending. Anyway, it sort of reminds me of my naughty school days, chasing 'butterflies'.........Ahem!....lol! 

The video shows my eldest son attempting to play this very long song Na Xie Nian (那些年) on the piano. Not perfect, with some errors here and there; need more practice.

Finally finished editing this video after much fiddling with Windows Movie Maker! My little five year old loves PSY Gangnam Style music video and I wanted to make this parody video with my family in it so that they can remember all the good times we had together.

My daughter took most of the videos with my youngest son as the main star or you can say......Spiderman....., correction....Spiderboy! Michael Jackson pun ada (also got) lorrr.... LOL!

Redfox Wireless FM MP3/WMA Modulator

I bought this cool FM MP3/WMAModulator for RM43. The display price was RM45....a RM2 discount is better than nothing! I just have to copy all my mp3, wma and mp4 songs from my CDs into a thumb drive or SD/MMC card, then plug in the MP3 Modulator into my car cigarette lighter compartment and set my radio to receive the frequency transmitted from the range of 87.5 Mhz to 108.0 Mhz. The model of the modulator is FT44A and it can support up to 16GB thumb drive or SD storage card. I can play many songs with such a big capacity of storage without ever have to fill up my glove compartments with lots of CDs. This model also supports switching of folders using the remote keypad provided. When I first used it I experience some radio frequency interference. I keep on changing the frequency until the sound coming out from my radio becomes clear, ie. use a frequency that has the least interference. Now I can listen to all my favourite songs inside my car!

Cute Tortoise Toy for My Little Toddler –Beware of the Catchy Tune!

I bought this cute tortoise toy for my little toddler from Tesco Mutiara. I can’t really remember the actual price but I think it was RM19.90. He likes it very much. It is an intelligent toy too, being able to move away whenever it touches an object or the wall. The led lights on it are pretty attractive. He let out a naughty grin when he saw this cute toy. At first he was quite rough when he handles this new toy, probably out of curiosity but after a while he learns to appreciate what it can do. Anyway, now I am going a little bit ‘crazy’ after hearing the tune from the electronic tortoise over and over again. So I am sharing it with you........it goes like this ‘Fishes, fishes where are you’........... Do you know what song is it?

Madonna Pays Tribute to Michael Jackson in "Sticky & Sweet" Concert Tour in London

Sexy Queen of pop, Madonna paid tribute to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson in the same stage in London that he was supposed to perform in his up coming comeback concert. Madonna danced along with Michael Jackson impersonator while the picture of young MJ appeared on stage. During the last dance, all the dancers including Madonna donned white jeweled glove on their right hand. Words from his famous hit ‘Man in the mirror’, ‘If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make a change’ flashes when Madonna was performing. This video shows MJ impersonator appearing while Madonna was singing ‘Holiday’ then the song was switched to ‘Wanna be starting something’.

The Lang Ting Tang Man (Chinese Story Teller with a Guitar like Musical Instrument)

The Lang Ting Tang Man, olden days busker!

It has been a very long time since I last saw a Lang Ting Tang Man (name in Penang Hokkien dialect) singing on the street. These Chinese story tellers wander around the country telling stories, normally Chinese classics using song and playing music from a guitar like instrument (looks like a banjo). The normal stories were from the era of Romance of The Three Kingdom, Chinese Romeo & Juliet (Butterfly Lovers), Water Margin (my favourite) and many more which I cannot recall anymore. Some of the stories were funny. I think I saw the last of this Lang Ting Tang Man in my hometown when I was a boy. The guy at my hometown in Butterworth has a few pieces of long metal plates with Chinese characters attached to the end of his guitar. He used the metal plates for fortune telling by charging a small fee for it. He will start by singing some old Chinese songs and then ask the customer to choose a piece of metal plate for him to interpret. There is a picture of a Lang Ting Tang Man in the Penang Museum and I actually highlighted it to my kids when we were there 3 weeks ago. To my surprise, last week I saw this octogenarian (80 years old) Lang Ting Tang Man at the Kepong Baru Wet market, sitting under the hot morning sun singing away. His little guitar is a bit more of a modern type as it has an output to a loudspeaker without any casing. Other than singing, I don’t think this guy read fortune for customers. Sadly, not many people really paid attention to this poor old aged entertainer from a long gone era. He was at this location in front of a music record shop for one week in a row already, giving them some sort of a competition. I couldn’t resist giving him a little donation, a small token that I can afford!
