Lunch at Restoran Makanan Laut (Seafood Restaurant) Hock Heng Huat, Tg Sepat

After a quick stop by the Sepang Gold Coast seaside, we headed towards Tg Sepat for lunch. Hock Heng Huat is located at the end of Jalan 2, opposite the Chinese Temple. The kitchen was busy preparing food for two groups of tour buses when we arrived, so we have to wait quite a while for our food. Anyway, Hock Heng Huat is not so packed like the other restaurant near the seaside in Tg Sepat. The food here is actually quite good and I would rather have my lunch at a peaceful and ambient restaurant. Furthermore there are plenty at the open ground opposite the restaurant. We ordered the curry shark, fried sweet potato leaves, fried kailan vegetable, fried squid and tofu crabmeat soup. The total bill for 6 adults and 2 toddlers came up to be RM70. Here are the food photos and reviews.

I wish they would not cut the shark meat so tiny but then it might not be able to absorb all the nice curry gravy if they do so. This curry shark dish is very nice, spicy and bursting with flavours. I like it very much.
The fried squid is fresh and crunchy. My kids ate most of the squid.

The sweet potato leaves dish has very nice ‘wok hei’ (wok burnt) smell and it reminds me of the Tuapan gravy back in my hometown. This stir fried vegetable taste delicious!
Next, the savoury crabmeat tofu soup was served. Actually the serving portion was a little too large and we had a hard time finishing the soup, although it was very tasty. The crabmeat with tofu soup is sweet and delicious!

The stir fried kailan has the same ‘wok hei’ gravy as the sweet potato leaves. It goes along well with the nice crunchy kailan. Another tasty vegetable dish
