Ghost Story – I Want Milk! (Real Story in Kedah, Malaysia)

My friend, Amy shared this story about her cousin sister in Kedah who is in her late fifties now. With the moon near to its’ midnight position up in the clear night sky, they hastily ascend the hill slope of the Chinese cemetery. Ah Cheng (not her real name), a teenager was the only girl member of the group and their purpose is to seek lucky numbers from the spirit that dwells in one of the graves. They stopped by a small grave and when Ah Cheng shined her torch light at the tombstone, she saw a picture of a woman. The rest of the men in their group light up some joss sticks and some of them were poking the grave with bamboo stick, a ritual to summon the spirit that lies within. All of a sudden, Ah Cheng and the men heard the voice of a woman and a child crying. Ah Cheng told the woman that they wanted to ask for lucky numbers from her to bet on the next draw. The woman agreed to help them but she said that she needed someone to hold her baby so that she could go to the "datuk" down the hill to request for the numbers. She requested Ah Cheng to stretch out her arms. Ah Cheng did so, and suddenly she felt something heavy and icy cold placed on her outstretched arms. The woman requested the men to pray at the ‘datuk’ shrine down at the hill slope and she will help them to speak to the ‘datuk’ spirit to give them the lucky numbers. As soon as the men left, the baby began to cry. Ah Cheng panicked. Cold sweat ran down her forehead. She could not retract or move her outstretched arms at all. She noticed some movement in the bushes nearby. Out of the sudden, an old man appeared and asked her what she is doing in the cemetery in the middle of night. Ah Cheng explained everything to the old man. He is actually the caretaker of the cemetery and he was aroused from his sleep by the commotion caused by the lucky numbers seeking party! The men returned. The woman told Ah Cheng that her baby is hungry and she wanted them to buy her some milk. Ah Cheng told the men and caretaker what the women wanted. The caretaker advised Ah Cheng to tell the women that they will bring some milk for her baby when the number strike first price. The lady agreed and she told Ah Cheng that when she takes her bath the next day, the lucky number will appear on her arm. Ah Cheng reached home and quietly went to bed. The next morning, Ah Cheng’s mother learned from her neighbors of her little adventure. Her mother was so furious the she caned Ah Cheng to teach her a lesson because her life could possibly be taken away by the female spirit if the spirit was not appeased. Her body was full of cane marks as the result of the beating. Later, when she was taking her bath, a four digit number really appeared on her upper arm. She sneaked out of her house to tell her friends and the graveyard caretaker the number. She bet RM1.00 on the number. The number won first prize! They went back to the cemetery immediately with tins of milk to offer to the spirits. They learned that the caretaker won a lot of money; probably he will be retiring from being a caretaker soon. In spite of being badly beaten, Ah Cheng gave all the money she won to her mother! From that day onwards, Ah Cheng did not dare to participate in such paranormal activities any more. I'm not so scared of these 'things' because since small, I can 'see them'. Maybe because i have weak body or wud,I dunno. So, biasa oredi. Make friends with those 'people' is good wan, they give numbers, and give some premonitions... i want so share some of my experience with paranormal stuff next time too when I'm free. Too much to tell liao. You know, Pete, i can never go to a funeral without seeing 'the dead' walking around in their own funeral. *sigh* Honestly, the dead never really left us. They are around.

Rose, don't be scared la, you don't disturb them, they also won't be so free to disturb you wan.

Dear Cleff, agree with you if u don't disturb them they won't disturb u. I want to hear your story leh. Can't wait lor! Got many question to ask you. It has to do with the natural freqency of your body sensing system. They are vibrating in the same frequency with these forces(resonance). That is why u can see or feel then around! I am looking into scientific explanation of these forces! Wow, interesting leh......please start writing....

*sigh* things gets worst every time the Hungry Ghost festival or during funeral...not only can 'feel' them...but also can see 'shadows' and 'cryings'. Really celaka wan, you know? When I was younger my mom used to bring me to those tabib and bomohs to 'close my third eyes' so that i wun be able to see dirty things and won't get sick easily, but they failed. I still see things. LOL...but, I guess i got used to seeing things, because, they actually won't do you any harm, unless you 'tangan gatal' go and disturb them. too bad none of them want to give me numbers... LOL. :-S

Cleff : Try wearing crystal to balance up electromagnetic force in your body. It might help.

Mom used to decorate me with crystals and talismans... :-S but really no use for me, but nevermind la, I got used to it already. in fact, it's quite fun to see what other people cannot see, I just cannot tahan when it's funeral...it's almost those 'just dead' people seems to be in confusion...sad, really... :-(
