Happy Malaysia Day – A Visit To Museum Negara(National Museum), Kuala Lumpur

HAPPY MALAYSIAN DAY!
It has been ages since I last visited the Museum Negara. I took my niece there recently when she visited me in KL. Let’s be reminded how our fore fathers fought for the country to make it a better place for us to live in. We are Malaysian forever! The old locomotive and main entrance.............The Museum building Olden days ricksaw...............................................Olden days money, must have big pocket! Bullock cart.............................................................Horse carriage Missed riding the trishaw!...........Golden flower given to Siam so that they won't attack Kedah My favourite, Samurai sword.............................Ancient machine gun A bicycle used by Japanese soldiers......................Japanese-Malay-English Dictionary! Metal helmet, good protection from your wife if you go back home late! Damm big Communist soldier metal backpack!..Some of the Communist stuff. Early days guns.....................................................Guns and daggers Nice looking ancient pistols just like the one Capt Jack Sparrow uses! Our country is blessed with many types of natural resources and fertile land. Kapal Korek.(Dredging Barge)............................Bajak(plough) for padi field. Processed rubber sheets.....................................Haven't seen these type of dacing for ages! Antique telephone.............................Antique typewriter Very old fire engine and a car like the one used in Shanghai Beach series. Looong pan....jeng jeng, looong lau.......... Old steam engine from KTM...............................Penang Hill funicular rail coach. Proud moment for the country. Remember this mascot?

I'm always curious on what is stored inside the national museum. Now I know. yeah, Happy Birthday Malaysia. So 916 how? Tak jadi?

Abit on the mascot...it's Commonwealth mascot, and yeah, it's indeed out glorious moment. That mascot also reminds me that Anwar was fired a week before Commonwealth. LOL

i was always curious about why there is only holiday for the Malaya Merdeka day, but no holiday for Malaysia forming day?

anyway, about the Commonwealth mascot, we actually have a living Commonwealth mascot who are an athlete. that athlete looks exactly the same like the mascot.

Here is the picture of the mascot.

And here is the picture of the athlete.
