Curry Stingray, Yong Tau Foo, Chap Sheet and Steamed Soup at Jalan Burong Tiong

The Makeshift stall. Dishes sour vegetable, dry & wet yong tau foo and curry stingray This is my favourite place for lunch. The service is quick and food is simple. The makeshift stall is located under a big tree, so you are protected from the afternoon sun heat. I have been eating for the last eight years. The stingray curry is of the lemak(creamy) type; good and the stingray is fresh. It is quite hard to find this type of curry sting ray in KL. It is one of the specialties here. The yong tau foo is made on the spot, so you can expect it to be fresh. We also ordered the Chap Sheet (mixed sour vegetable stew) which is real sour; good if you like sour food. This stall also sells steamed soup. The bill for four people came out to be RM30; reasonable place to eat. Misti : It is good that they are allowed to survive, cheap and various varieties of food are available.

STP : Ha Ha, forgot to take lah. Eat halfway then only realised.

Calvin : Chap Sheet is all the leftovers put together and boil into soup with asam keping and dry chili.

lcfu : Somehow yong tau foo seems to be very popular in KL.

Edward : yes, they open on weekends.
